Person shot by Denver police officer after firing at officers

DENVER — A shooting involving at least one Denver Police officer sent a person to the hospital early Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 4363 S. Quebec St. The apartments are near East Quincy Avenue and South Quebec Street.

Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas said in a video statement provided by Denver Police that officers were called to the apartments for an “armed confrontation” in the parking lot.
