DENVER (KDVR) — Late on Sunday afternoon, the Denver Zoo closed temporarily after receiving a threatening phone call, according to a social media post from the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance.
The zoo said that similar incidents have been reported at other zoos across the country in recent weeks.

The Denver Zoo worked with the Denver police, who conducted an investigation into the threat and swept through the zoo campus, determining the threat to be unfounded and that the zoo is okay to continue operations.
