A family who were on board an LA-bound Frontier Airlines aircraft have recalled the horrifying moment the jet struck and killed a pedestrian on the runway at Denver International Airport on Friday night.
John Anthens, 56, and his two sons, Jacob, 30, and Levi, 19, thought they were going to die after the plane hit a person who had jumped a fence and was on a runway during takeoff. A spokesperson for the airport said the person has died.
They said the unidentified person was hit two minutes after entering the airport. The person is not believed to be an airport employee.
