DPD releases body camera video of moments officers shot suspect in downtown Denver shooting

DENVER — Denver Police released body camera video on Monday showing the moments two officers shot and injured a man who was the suspect in a separate shooting in the same area moments earlier.

The shootings happened around 2 a.m. on May 3 in the area of 16th and California streets in downtown Denver. The victim in the initial shooting and the man shot by officers are both expected to survive their injuries, police said.
