DENVER (KDVR) — A Denver police officer arrested two street racers from separate incidents on the same day, impounding both vehicles, according to a social media post from the Denver Police Department on Thursday.
The first incident occurred during the early hours of May 18, when a suspect driving a pony car southbound on South Federal Boulevard at West 2nd Avenue. The driver pulled up to the stoplight, revving his engine at another vehicle. As the light turned green, they took off and attempted to overtake each other, according to the department.

The officer was able to locate the pony car and performed a traffic stop, where the driver was arrested for an investigation of speed exhibition, and his vehicle was impounded.
Later in the day, the same officer was out on a proactive patrol in the area of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Evans Avenue due to crashes that had recently happened in the intersection…
