VIDEO: Denver woman reunites with dog that was stolen outside Denver bookstore

DENVER (KDVR) — A Denver woman got her dog back nearly a week after surveillance video showed a woman walking off with her dog while the owner ran into a store.

Rachel Ansley took her dog, Ezra, to the City Park Farmer’s Market on Saturday. She decided to run into Tattered Cover to grab a book and tied up her pup outside. When she came out less than 10 minutes later, he was gone.

Ansley called police and saw the surveillance video from Tatter Cover, which showed a woman trying to feed the dog Chipolte, then luring him in and casually walking away with him. In the following days, Ansley said police found the woman posting pictures of the dog on Facebook.
