These Texas towns are under flood threat as storms dump up to 20 inches

Dangerous flooding is spreading across Central Texas on Tuesday as relentless rainfall overwhelms roads, with some areas seeing more than a foot of water covering major highways and rain totals climbing toward historic levels.

Meteorologists warned that parts of the Texas Hill Country could see up to 20 inches of rain as intense storms continue to train over the same areas.

Avery Tomasco, a meteorologist for CBS Austin, reported that radar estimates showed more than 14 inches of rain had already fallen near Hondo by Tuesday morning, with rainfall rates reaching 3 to 4 inches per hour.
