AUSTIN (KXAN) — Although the worst of the heavy rain and flash flooding is behind us, there remains concern for elevated river levels and water flows as we transition out of this 3-day flood event.

River Flood Warnings continue for both the Pedernales River and Llano River this morning.
The Pedernales River at Johnson City crested on Thursday afternoon and continues to slowly recede. A Flood Warning continues for the Pedernales River from Johnson City to Lake Travis until this afternoon.
The Llano River at Llano is expected to make a second crest at just over 21 ft (just below major flood stage) early Saturday morning. A Flood Warning continues until Sunday morning for the Llano River.
A Flood Watch remains in effect for the far western Hill Country until 12 PM today (Friday) for the potential for life-threatening flash flooding. Remember, never drive through flooded streets, and make sure you have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.
