The final chapter for a decades-old Central Texas H-E-B is coming to a close as the store prepares to close for good next week.
The Spicewood Springs H-E-B in Northwest Austin has been a community mainstay since the early 1980s when it was first constructed. In the decades since, it has remained one of the San Antonio-based grocer’s smaller and more dated grocery store layouts.
Back in late May, company officials announced that store, located at 12860 Research Blvd., Austin, TX 78759, would close at the end of July. At the time, an H-E-B employee confirmed to MySA the location is at the end of its lease and company officials opted not to renew at that site…
