AUSTIN (KXAN) — Mold was discovered on the premises of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport during maintenance work at the United Club. AUS confirmed the details Wednesday.
“Unrelated to the maintenance issue, but during [United’s] response to address it, some mold was discovered in their leased premises,” the airport said.
As of Wednesday, AUS said remediation for the mold was underway. By Friday, the United Club lounge remained temporarily closed.
