AUSTIN (KXAN) – An Austin man was arrested Wednesday after police said he broke into a building on East Cesar Chavez Street, set several small fires on the property and later assaulted an officer while being taken into custody.
Austin police responded around 10:57 a.m. to the 1900 block of East Cesar Chavez Street after receiving reports that an individual had broken into a building and was setting small fires on the property.
