July 2026 was the 38th-hottest July on record, with a mean temperature of 85.7 degrees, 0.1 degrees below the average.
It was also the 17th-wettest July on record, with many rainy days and flash flooding in the Hill Country. The rain total for the month was 4.24 inches, more than 2 inches above the average.
