AUSTIN (KXAN) — A front brings changes this weekend as rain moves in and the humidity drops, but high temperatures will still reach triple digits.
Today
Rain moves in from the north through the morning into the afternoon along the front.
Most will see scattered showers, but a few pockets of heavier rain are possible and some thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon with daytime heating.
The Weather Prediction Center has our area highlighted in a Level 1 of 4 risk for flooding rain with isolated totals up to 2 inches possible leading to localized flooding.
Highs ahead of the front will make a run for the low triple digits with compressional heating, but areas north where rain comes in earlier could sit a bit lower.
Dew points drop behind the front as the wind direction changes from the north.
The rest of the weekend
A nice feeling airmass takes over with a drop in the humidity for Sunday…
