AUSTIN (KXAN) — Not on Our Watch Texas (NOW) launched a game designed to teach parents and their kids how to be safe while gaming online in July. The game is free and can be played without a login on NOW’s website.
Andrea Sparks is the co-founder of NOW, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching parents and children the risks of online harm, abuse and exploitation.
“When I was a child, my mom would say, ‘Watch out for that white van at the playground,’ well [phones are] the new white van,” Sparks said. “And unfortunately, we send our kids into their rooms with the white van.”…
