Taking your dog for a walk is routine. But where your dog stops to do its business can raise questions about private property — and whether those “no dogs” or “please don’t let your dog pee here” signs actually carry any legal weight.
In Texas, private property owners and businesses generally can set rules about whether pets are allowed on their property.
