AUSTIN (KXAN) — Pflugerville has announced it is covering Flock License Plate Reader cameras leased by the city and has turned the system off, according to a Facebook post.

According to the Pflugerville Police Department, an issue was discovered in the Flock operating system that permitted non-partner law enforcement agencies to access the city’s Flock data.
In response, the city manager has directed staff to cover city-leased cameras until formal direction has been given by city council.
