AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department and SWAT team responded overnight Friday into Saturday morning to an incident in south Austin.
According to a Facebook update posted by APD at 2:40 a.m., officers responded to a gun hotshot call shortly before 11 p.m. in the 5700 block of Sunset Ridge.
APD officer Austin Zarling said the 911 call reported a male suspect “brandishing a firearm, threatening family members, and was not allowing a female victim to leave the residence.”
