AUSTIN, Texas — A monthlong celebration highlighting Austin’s Asian American and Pacific Islander communities is underway.
Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month officially begins on May 1, but dozens gathered Sunday in northeast Austin to kick things off early. Nearly 60 vendors, along with performers and artists, participated in a free event at Austin Beerworks’ Sprinkle Valley location.
