WIMBERLEY, Texas (KXAN) — A well-known and well-loved Hays County swimming hole continues to suffer the consequences of several dry years in a row, combined with water use beyond the inflows.
Jacob’s Well spring sits just northwest of the city of Wimberley. The well is a visible barometer of the health of the Middle Trinity Aquifer. As the aquifer fills, it pushes water up through Jacob’s Well to form the headwaters of Cypress Creek, which eventually turns into the Blanco River…
