Bakersfield ranked 3rd deadliest metro for pedestrians in US: report

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield area was ranked among the most dangerous places in the country for pedestrians, according to a new annual report.

Smart Growth America, a national urban planning nonprofit, released a study Wednesday titled “Dangerous by Design 2026” identifying the deadliest U.S. metro areas for people to walk in.
