A dangerous and fabled stretch of California highway known as “Blood Alley” is getting a redo just before the Fourth of July and peak summer travel season.
On Tuesday, Caltrans crews started “making emergency embankment repairs” on Highway 46, which connects Paso Robles and the rest of the Central Coast with Bakersfield.
The work is scheduled to take place over the next two weeks and will feature 24-hour-a-day “signalized traffic control,” a Caltrans statement said…
