Tehachapi to host All-American Fourth of July Festival July 3-5

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The city of Tehachapi has plenty of fun, family-friendly events lined up for residents and visitors throughout the Independence Day weekend, starting today.

On Friday, July 3, local band 4 of a Kind is set to perform live music at 6 p.m. at Central Park before a screening of the film “National Treasure,” featuring Nicolas Cage.

The next morning, the All American 5K Run is set to begin at 7 a.m., according to city officials. Participants will gather at the southwest end of Central Park before the race begins.

At 8 a.m. July 4, children can decorate bikes on Green Street. Young riders are encouraged to decorate their own bicycles, tricycles, wagons or scooters in red, white and blue, and lead the parade through downtown Tehachapi, officials said…
