Kern County man gets 12 years for possession of meth, heroin, fentanyl

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Kern County man found guilty of possessing multiple drugs — including 10 pounds of fentanyl — has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, according to prosecutors.

Ruben Gutierrez-Garcia was found guilty in June of five counts of drug possession for sales and maintaining a residence for drug sales. He was sentenced Tuesday.

On Sept. 11, a search conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies found “massive quantities” of drugs hidden throughout Gutierrez-Garcia’s house, prosecutors said…
