Jailhouse interview with California City Amber Alert suspect

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The public is left with questions after an Amber Alert rang out to Kern County residents on July 10. While it was deactivated in less than 24 hours, the woman is accused of stabbing a man, stealing his car and taking her child.“I don’t know if this is gonna be good for my case or bad but… I think I probably won’t speak because this is a very serious case regarding my kids,” said Charnay Mclin.

Everyone knew her and her daughter after an Amber Alert one week ago had been blasted out to Kern County by the California Highway Patrol, saying a child was abducted.

In just a few hours the Amber Alert was deactivated…
