Kern Public Works hosting second July tire drop off Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County is hosting its second tire recycling event on Saturday.

The event — which is being held at 12001 East Tehachapi Blvd. from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. — is the second of three events the county is hosting to help residents dispose of their old or unwanted tires.

Kern County Public Works is hosting the events in partnership with CalRecycle. Through the program, residents can dispose of their tires for free until the drop off sites reach capacity.
