BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man died after he was struck by several vehicles on Highway 99 on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At around 1:48 a.m. July 19, CHP Bakersfield Area units responded to reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian on southbound Highway 99, south of White Lane.

According to investigators, a man entered southbound Highway 99 from the shoulder, directly into the path of a vehicle which struck the man and caused major injuries.
He was then struck by multiple other vehicles, CHP said…
