A Canyon Country Woman Was Found Headless And Drained Of Her Blood In 2011; Cold Case Investigators Still Seek Answers

Cold case investigators from Kern County are seeking information regarding the murder of a Canyon Country woman who was found beheaded in 2011.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in a cold case homicide investigation involving 64-year-old Ada Beth Kaplan Moore.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone who knew Ada Moore, also known as Ada Kaplan, who lived in Santa Clarita. Even seemingly minor details about her life, relationships, employment, routines or acquaintances may provide valuable investigative leads, investigators say.

Moore’s remains were found March 29, 2011, in a grape vineyard near Sebastian Road, just east of Wheeler Ridge Road in Arvin, California, approximately 60 miles north of Santa Clarita.
