Coroner confirms methamphetamine toxicity killed man found in East Panama Lane field

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the cause and manner of death for the man who was found dead in an open dirt field.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office said on June 20, 2026, at around 3:12 p.m., 48-year-old Geraldo Ramirez of Bakersfield was found dead in a dirt field north of the 5700 block of East Panama Lane in Bakersfield.

An autopsy was conducted and the cause of death was determined to be methamphetamine toxicity…
