KIC:Transforming Students’ Careers Through Paid Internships in Bakersfield

KIC is an intern connection program within the Kern High School District. I spoke with the school about its impact on students.

The Kern Technical Education Center, is a part of the Kern High School district. The program allows for some junior and senior high school students to learn career training programs.

Principle Brian Miller, tells me this is the type of education every student needs. “These students go through a transformation every year there is a hands-on learning environment, and they gain confidence in their skills as they go throughout the year.” He said.
