A man was taken into custody after he allegedly stole a Ridgecrest patrol car Sunday morning, leading deputies on a chase that ended in a crash near Rosamond.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies first responded to the reported patrol car theft on Highway 14 just north of Highway 58 on the morning of April 19.
