BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A Kern County Fire official said that an elevated fire response was downgraded to a normal response after fire crews quickly extinguished a grass fire in southeast Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews responded at around 2:12 p.m. to the 6700 block of East Brundage Lane for a report of a grass fire threatening buildings. When they arrived, they found the grass fire threatening an apartment complex.
