Malibu Creek State Park shooter found guilty of assaulting doctor while in custody in Kern County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A man serving life in prison for killing a father camping with his two young daughters at Malibu Creek State Park was found guilty Thursday of attacking a doctor while housed in a Kern County prison.

Anthony Rauda was found guilty of felony battery by a prisoner on a non-prisoner. A sentencing date hadn’t been set as of 1:30 p.m.

Rauda is already serving 119 years to life for killing Tristan Beaudette in 2018. He fired a rifle into Beaudette’s tent, killing him as he slept next to his daughters, then 2 and 4…
