Kern County probation officers arrest Bakersfield man after finding suspected meth

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A home compliance check in east Bakersfield led to the arrest of a man accused of possessing nearly 100 grams of suspected methamphetamine and resisting officers, said the Kern County Probation Department.

On Monday, May 11, 2026, officers assigned to the department’s Adult AB-109 Division, Mandatory Supervision Unit, conducted a home call in the 2100 block of River Boulevard. Officers contacted Miguel Cruz, who is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).

During a search, officers said they found approximately 93 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Authorities said Cruz also resisted arrest and was wanted on three felony warrants…
