BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The cause of death of a 68-year-old Bakersfield man in a Bernard Street fire in January was revealed by the Kern County coroner.
On Jan. 24, 2026, Bharti Khatri was found unresponsive at around 5:48 a.m. in a home on fire in the 300 block of Bernard Street.
