Hearing on plea negotiations, possible dismissal set June 3 in McMurphy’s deadly shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A hearing has been set in early June to see if a plea agreement has been reached or the case dismissed against a man accused of killing a McMurphy’s Irish Pub security guard he believed sexually assaulted his sister.

If neither happens, an August trial date will remain in place for Jorge Esteban Garcia on a charge of first-degree murder.
