Thousands Attend JCC’s Biannual Community Block Party

Nearly 6,000 people turned out Sunday morning and afternoon, May 31, for the biannual Community Block Party at the Owings Mills Jewish Community Center. This year’s theme for the free outdoor gathering was “It’s Classic!”

Activities at the family-friendly festival included live entertainment, such as music and dancing; a display of classic cars; strolling entertainment including bubble artists, balloon twisters and life-sized characters; jumbo games, large inflatables and spin-art; a rock-climbing wall; guided tours of the J Nature Trail; a “Boardwalk to Better Health Area provided by LifeBridge Health; and a celebration of Israeli culture, featuring kosher food, gifts and jewelry.
