A late-night burst of gunfire in West Baltimore turned into a high-speed chase through city streets, ending among the Victorian homes of Mount Washington and landing a Baltimore County man in handcuffs, according to court records reviewed by reporters.
Evidence at the scene
Court records state that police received two ShotSpotter alerts near the 1600 block of Eutaw Place around 11:30 p.m. on July 8. One alert reported 11 rounds, and another reported 20 rounds.
When officers responded, they found a handgun and rifle cartridge casings near Pedestal Gardens in the 300 block of McMechen Street. Investigators said the ammunition suggested multiple firearms had been used, according to FOX45.

How the chase unfolded
Witnesses told police they saw a blue four-door Honda Accord fleeing northbound immediately after the shooting. An officer on Greenspring Avenue ran the plate and learned the car had been reported stolen out of Anne Arundel County, according to charging documents.
