Police: Skeletal remains found in Essex may belong to missing New Jersey woman

ESSEX, Md. — Homicide detectives are investigating whether skeletal remains found Friday in a Maryland creek bed belong to a New Jersey woman who vanished last month, police said.

Officers responded to a report of possible human remains at approximately 11:25 a.m. near the interchange of Route 702 and Interstate 695, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Upon arrival, authorities located the skeletal remains in a tributary of the Back River.

Investigators are working to determine if the remains are those of 46-year-old Kimberly Gordon, who went missing from New Jersey. She was last seen on June 21 at about 2 p.m…
