HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — A tractor-trailer hauling sugar caught fire Thursday afternoon, causing some lanes to close on Interstate 70 in Howard County.
Maryland State Police troopers responded to the report of a single-vehicle fire at around 1:10 p.m. on I-70 West before Exit 87B to U.S. Route 29. A preliminary investigation found that a tractor-trailer caught fire on the shoulder, state police said. Sugar being carried by the truck spilled onto the road.
