Drive-thru coffee, cryotherapy, pilates: LA experts review latest retail trends from Vegas event

More than 20,000 real estate professionals gathered in Las Vegas last week for the annual International Council of Shopping Centers convention, a networking, deal-making, schmooze fest that brings together brokers, investors and retailers from around the country.

Jonathan Walker, of Baton Rouge-based Maestri-Murrell, was among the dozens from Louisiana who attended the two-day conference, which is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center but also includes poolside socials and corporate cocktail parties at nearby casino hotels, where some of the most productive work gets done.
