Baton Rouge airport to receive $10.9 million for terminal and baggage system upgrades

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport will receive $10.9 million in federal funding for terminal and baggage system replacement, federal transportation officials said.

The funding is part of more than $523 million in airport infrastructure grants awarded by the FAA to airports across 43 states. The grants are meant to support runway rehabilitation, terminal upgrades, taxiway and apron improvements, baggage system upgrades, and other airfield investments.
