Meet Lux and Pax, the K-9 team patrolling Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital

Two German shepherds, Lux and Pax, patrol the floors of Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital alongside their handlers. Lux is part Czechoslovakian shepherd. They are there to help alleviate anxiety among healthcare workers and patients and to provide another level of security by searching the campus for signs of danger.

Eric Sean Clay, vice president and chief security officer for FMOL Health, started the K-9 security program with the goal of healthcare workers and patients feeling better protected.
