BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge woman was arrested on multiple felony charges after an officer responded to Great Smokey Avenue to investigate reports of gunfire.
Ceddeanae Lanieux, 20, was charged with:
- Attempted second-degree murder.
- Assault by drive-by shooting.
- Aggravated criminal damage to property.
- Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.
According to an arrest affidavit, an officer arrived at the scene just before 5 a.m. and was later notified of another report of gunfire from an off-duty East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy.
The deputy told investigators he heard knocking at the front of his home shortly before shots were fired. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle mirror on the ground that appeared to have a bullet hole, along with broken glass and tire marks in the grass…
