BATON ROUGE — A man is behind bars after a crash on Highland Road Friday night that left multiple people injured. Marlon Amaya stands accused of being impaired after telling deputies he had eight beers and walking away from the scene of the crash.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on May 29 on Highland Rd. between Pecue & Burbank when another vehicle crossed into the oncoming traffic and crashed with a silver Nissan car, according to the victims’ family.
