CENTRAL, La. — Construction at the intersection of Sullivan Road and Hooper Road is causing significant traffic congestion, prompting Central police to urge drivers to avoid the area.
Sullivan Road has been under construction for approximately 16 years. The DOTD project spans Sullivan, with the latest phase being between Hooper and Wax Road. John Dauthier with Central Police said the project is aimed at widening the road, but as it nears completion, the intersection has to expand.
