PORT ALLEN, La. (Louisiana First) — As Port Allen continues to grow, city leaders are taking steps they say could help prepare the city for future development.
During Wednesday’s committee meeting, officials discussed acquiring approximately 31 acres of land for a proposed municipal wastewater treatment facility. The proposal includes obtaining an independent appraisal of the property and authorizing a contingent purchase agreement pending environmental reviews and site suitability studies.
