As her emotional support dog lay at her feet, Kai Broussard stared down at him and explained why she drove from Lafayette to Baton Rouge for the All Paws on Deck Walk for Pet Cancer Awareness.
“He’s a survivor,” Broussard said of her dog, Xnoxwell, who recovered from cancer.
The annual event on May 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library on Goodwood Boulevard, brought together pet owners, LSU veterinary representatives, an animal shelter, local businesses, and, of course, other pet survivors of cancer.
