Baton Rouge police officer arrested for allegedly driving drunk, speeding

A Baton Rouge police officer faces discipline after she was arrested last month for allegedly driving over 100 mph while intoxicated.

Officer Sabrione Reed was stopped May 30 after a speed laser clocked her speeding vehicle, the Baton Rouge Police Department said. Officers suspected Reed was under the influence of alcohol and transported her to the 3rd District headquarters, where she voluntarily took a Breathalyzer test. Her blood alcohol content registered as 0.09% police said.

Reed was arrested for a first-offense DWI and cited for reckless driving, fleeing to elude and speeding. She was released with a mandatory court date…
