BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Baton Rouge police announced Saturday, June 20, that missing 15-year-old Ja’Derrius Minnieweather is dead and that 50-year-old Maurice Parms has been arrested in connection with his death.
Parms was taken into custody June 20, 2026, and is accused of First-Degree Murder, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
BRPD held a perp walk Saturday evening at the Violent Crime Unit office, located at Louisiana State Police headquarters on Independence Boulevard.
