New Orleans All-Metro star is an LSU commitment from Hahnville with ‘old-school mentality’

Koa Romero returned to the dugout when a Hahnville assistant coach pointed out the high number of radar guns tracking his every pitch.

For Romero, this was a surprise. The LSU commitment from Hahnville has long been known for his batting prowess. But on this day, with 17 major league scouts there to watch Parkview’s Logan Sorrel, a Kentucky commitment, Romero used his low-90s fastball and complementary breaking pitches to outduel the other team’s ace.
